And I think that western people often mistake certain parts of their culture as essential Christianity, but like in some ways, Japan - with very male centered, and authority oriented, is more in line with what the bible actually teaches. I am so tired of going to luke warm churches where people feel good but don’t know their bible and don’t talk about God’s word or the good news of salvation with each other, where members are valued on how much they give rather than their love for God and his word and spreading the gospel, where success in life is more valued than tribulations to refine us, where donations go to a building and staff for a social club rather than helping Christian’s brothers and sisters in need, where you have to follow the leaders interpretation of scripture rather than everyone being led by the Holy Ghost in understanding and searching the scriptures to verify meaning. Modern Japonese culture is waaaayyy too focused on "produtivity". You are pushed to only think about school, work, financial and material success. Capitalism at it's most mental consuming state. That's a major cause for many modern cultural and social problems in Japan. Everything is about being the best in everything, except your own personal life. That's the cause behind so much social isolation, depression, anxiety, high suicide rates and a almost completely secular life-style. They have everything, except love and self-care.
